As a growing company Straight Edge Contractors is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Foreman to lead crews on commercial, municipal, industrial, and private projects throughout the region.
This is not an entry-level leadership position. We are looking for a foreman who can safely manage people, equipment, schedules, production, and quality while maintaining a professional relationship with customers, inspectors, and project management.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise construction crews on a daily basis.
- Plan daily work activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Coordinate labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards.
- Maintain daily production reports, job logs, and project documentation.
- Communicate progress, delays, material needs, and jobsite issues with project management.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies.
- Train and mentor crew members while developing future leaders.
- Maintain positive relationships with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve field problems before they impact production.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.
Experience Required
Candidates should have proven experience managing one or more of the following:
- Asphalt paving.
- Concrete paving and flatwork.
- Dirt work and site grading.
- Asphalt and concrete demolition.
- Seal coating.
- Crack sealing.
- Pavement striping.
- Traffic sign installation.
- Thermoplastic pavement markings.
- Sports court surfacing.
- General civil construction.
